Cheese factory in New Hampshire to close after 20 years

Cheese factory owner Sissy Factory has announced it will close its doors in 2017 after 20 consecutive years in business.

The cheese factory, based in New Britain, was established in 1973 and produces cheeses including cheese and cheddar.

The factory employs 2,200 people.

Mr O’Leary said the factory had a history of quality and the workers had a special bond with the factory.

“We are a family business and it is our belief that the family business should continue,” he said.

“It is time for us to move on and the future of the factory will be decided by the owners and employees who are passionate about this industry and the community that has supported them.”

The owners are determined to keep the factory open and working in the best possible way for the future.

“Mr O ‘Leary said he was not aware of any plans for a successor factory.
