Apple’s new MacBook Pro with Retina display has been the best-selling notebook in the US this year, according to a new report.
The report, which came from MacRumors, also said that Apple sold 3.7 million Macs in the second quarter of 2017, with a total of 11.6 million units shipped.
Apple sold 2.8 million Mac Pros in the first quarter of this year.
The company said the second-quarter figure includes its $1,000 Core i7 Mac Pro and its $4,999 i5 Mac Pro.
The Mac Pro, which was launched earlier this year and has been a popular laptop option, is designed to compete with Apple’s own high-end desktop machines, and is the first of several high-performance laptops expected to be launched in 2018.
Apple has been slowly ramping up its notebook lineup with MacBooks, and the company has said that it expects to have about 20 million Mac laptops in use by the end of the year.
Apple also has the Mac Pro with its new i5 processor, which is a new generation of processors that include faster and more power efficient cores.
The MacBook Pro, though, is Apple’s most powerful laptop.
Apple previously released two new MacBook Pros: the 12-inch MacBook Pro and the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro.
Both were announced earlier this month.
Apple’s Macs also have an array of other new features, including an Apple Pencil for sketching and a Siri Remote for voice commands.
