Mexican restaurant to launch a new brand with Mexican ingredients in movie theaters

A Mexican restaurant is to start a new food business in movie theatres to compete with the likes of Chili’s and Taco Bell.

The El Toro restaurant in the Mexico City suburb of Villa Veracruz will open its first restaurant in September and will use ingredients from Mexican and American farms to create its signature dish.

The restaurant will serve tacos, burritos and tacos de guisados, a taco-like meal made with fresh meat and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, cheese and cilantro, according to a statement on the restaurant’s website.

“Our goal is to create a restaurant that has a Mexican connection to our food,” the statement reads.

“This will be the first of many restaurant projects that will become reality.”

Taco Bell and Chili’s have both said they are considering expanding their Mexican food offerings in the US.

Chili’s and Chili’re both expanding into the US and will open new restaurants there in 2018, said a spokesperson for the chain.
