Why cheesecake maker’s cheesecake factory was hacked

A cheesecake manufacturer’s factory outlet in the northeastern Italian city of Njaj, in southern France, has been hacked, a security company said.

The restaurant, which sells a range of cheeses, was hacked in August.

The hacker was able to gain access to more than 600,000 customer accounts, and stole their email addresses, bank information, birthdays and phone numbers, the company said on its website.

Security experts are still trying to determine the source of the hack, but the restaurant was not connected to any group.
